Mother's Day at The Manor | 8-12s | 31 March 2019
This extra special workshop will celebrate literary mothers from Homer’s Penelope and Marmee in Little Women to Molly Weasley and Moominmamma – so book a spot now to celebrate your own Mother’s Day heroine.
‘Whatever else is unsure in this world, a mother’s love is not.’ – James Joyce, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
Mr Joyce certainly had a point, and that’s why this Mother’s Day Creation wants to give back to all the Mums out there by holding our very own Mother’s Day workshop at The Manor, Weston-on-the-Green. A unique experience designed as much for parents as it is for the children, this workshop will combine the classic Creation Play in a Day format with a delicious afternoon tea in The Manor’s historic setting.
The group will spend the day playing drama games, improving their performance skills, and adapting classic stories which they will showcase at 4.30pm. Mums, Grandmas and friends are invited to have afternoon tea in The Manor while they enjoy the performance – and don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of cake for the kids as well.
The group is open for 8 – 12 year olds, and will run from 11 – 5; we also run flexible pick up/drop off from 10 – 6. The event will be held at The Manor, Weston-on-the-Green.
The cost of the workshop is £45 which includes one afternoon tea and one workshop place; we do offer sibling discounts of 10%, and extras discounts of 20%. If you would like to invite more people to see the showcase, or book more children into the workshop, then you can book additional spots for £20 (per afternoon tea) or £25 (per workshop place).
