Places to Visit

  •   Blenheim Palace – located in the picturesque town of Woodstock, Blenheim Palace is only 15 minutes from the hotel. This magnificent Palace is home to the Duke of Marlborough and is set in 2,000 acres of beautiful gardens
 
 
 
  • Bicester Village – located near the historic market town of Bicester, just 10 minutes from the hotel, this world famous designer outlet village will fulfil all of your shopping needs. Don’t forget to scan our discount code before you go, this will get you an additional 10% off in selected stores
 
 
 
  • Oxford City – Whether you wish to shop, go to the theatre, take in the beautiful colleges, punt down the Thames. Oxford has something to offer everyone for a day out, whatever the weather
 
 
 
  • The Cotswolds – With its rolling hills and quaint villages, we are on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds. Ideal for a day out exploring towns such as Chipping Norton, Burford or going for a walk through the beautiful countryside
 
 
 
  • Bicester Heritage Centre – Situated North of the town of Bicester, 15 minutes from the hotel. Bicester Heritage is home to over 40 automotive specialists and hold regular events such as the Flywheel and Sunday Scrambles
 
 
 
  • Weston on the Green – of course if you don’t fancy getting in your car and would like to explore something more local our village has beautiful countryside walk, the Milkshed ice-cream shop and café, the Flight House Antiques Centre and, for the more adventurous, there are flight experiences that can be booked at Oxford Gliding Club

 

  • Countryside walks

 

  • Group Flying on Friday evenings. These are for groups of between 8 and 14 people, with flying usually starting at 4pm onwards. The costs are £40 per person per flight with additional flights at £20 per person if time allows. Payment will be due at the time of the event and should be made in one transaction. Bookings will need to be made via my colleague Richard Markham via rmarkham@oxfordgliding.com.   • Weekend voucher flights for individuals. These can be purchased online via the link below. Enquires about availability should be made to
    bookings@oxfordgliding.com  Payment is required when the voucher is purchased, but is fully refundable if the flight/s are cancelled by us. Flights are normally conducted around 10am or 4pm each day. Between Spring and Autumn we are normally booked 6-8 weeks ahead. Early booking is therefore essential as we will be unable to give priority to your guests over our regular visitors.
